As it turns out it runs stable as a rock at 188 under normal conditions. It runs up to about 192 when it's warmer outside in traffic. It has been up to about 212 in summer, around town in traffic with lights/etc. If your gauge is stable there is usually no reason for concern.2017 colorado had similar problem. All gages, continual warnings, speedometer, tach, fuel, temp gage all stopped working. Outdoor temp blank, heater changed from F to C reading. all kinds of funky stuff.
