I am in possession of a Browning A-5 "Sweet Sixteen" made in Belgium (FN) that has a very low serial number - A773. I have looked for records online that would tell me when this gun was built and haven't found very much information on serial numbers this small. Brownings web site has provided the most info:That model was introduced in 1958, and the serial number should have a prefix consisting of one or two digits and the letter V.
