P07 and P10c are both compact. P09 and P10F are full sized. I recommend the full size for what you're asking for. I prefer hammer fired guns and own a P09. They are great guns out of the box, not quite amazing but better than average. The P10 has a good reputation and more than a few of the Glock people have moved over to it.
