Found something involving turning the engine on, then the lights on, pressing the Trip switch 4 times, then do the same after lights off/lights on again and 4 Trip presses, and that was for non-Crosstreks and about 6 years ago... Did not work, but maybe there's some method now to get the codes without a scanner for a 2019 Crosstrek.The check engine light came on. The X mode light came on and blinks.
