It has degenerated into a bitchfest replete with self proclaimed know-it-alls. Most of the really knowledgable FALers are gone.I have heard that the FAL is "the right arm of the free world", so a lot of militaries must use it today. That phrase goes back to Cold War times. The FAL was widely used by "western" nations, while the "eastern" nations (Soviet Union, China, & their clients) used the AK-47. I figured i would share my latest build, had some parts laying around. special thanks to the Falfilers and all the help getting it together. shoots great.Just loosen the screw on the front of the gas block (below the sight) with the small screwdriver on the combo tool. Use the front sight adjusting wrench (also part of the tool) to raise or lower the sight as little as 1/2 turn at a time. To lower your shot group, raise the front sight by turning it counter clockwise.

It didn't have any markings on the receiver except some small lightly etched writing under the ejection port that said FG002. It was a metric and I don't know much about metrics but it had a straight comb stock , metal handguards, and a stoll FH that didn't have the slots cut all the way through.
