We got this AC556 directly from Ruger as a replacement for a damaged AC556. That was over ten years ago. It looked so nice we didn't have the heart to fire it. It is fully transferrable and still absolutely untouched. The serial number dates the weapon to a 1985 manufacture. The AC556 is the same as the Mini 14 except for the full auto parts and the barrel has a bayonet lug and a flash hider like the GB model. The AC556F model has a folding stock and a 13" barrel and no bayonet lug. I have a Ruger AC556 shorty that is not cycling properly, meaning that when I do 3 round burst, once or twice it will fire fine, most of the time I have to manually eject the 3rd casing out of the gun.
