Snap to grid illustrator
Hello, I'm thinking of getting an iPad Pro and Illustrator Draw with it. I was wondering if it was possible to set up a grid (without drawing each lines manually), and I was also wondering if it was possible to snap whatever you're drawing (lines, circles, etc.) to that grid. Thank you.How would you write a script to move all points of all selected paths to the nearest (non-pixel grid) grid point? e.g. I want all of the points of each polygon/path to snap to the nearest point on a custom grid. Mine is setup as 1 grid unit = 11.338px or 4mm, but ideally the script would extend to any unit value. MY PSEUDOCODE, v0.1:

Upgraded to the latest version of Illustrator (I originally had CC 2015 19.1.0 and it was lovely) Now when drawing any object, either with the pen tool or a shape tool, it will not stop snapping to the pixel grid. All the various places you turn snapping features off have been turned off. Smart guides have been turned off too. SNAP TO GRID just doesn't seem to work on any shape in my Illustrator CC 2014 or the updated CS6. I know I'm not dreaming because i went back to CS4 and the snapping action is working there. If SNAP TO GRID is working for you, please tell me what you are doing and with what shape. I am running MAC OSX Mavericks. Thanks.
