Nov 17, 2023 · I have always liked Hoyt's groups from a manufacturing standpoint. Crazy that I spend $1250 on a bow to buy a $70 grip (Mathews) the engage just wobbles in my hand. I like their Picatinny mounting system. Wish the Z1s got an updated riser. $1500 for a bow that has an older riser is crazy and I do realize this is MSRP. The Elites seem to have a higher resale than Mathews and sell quicker used (good or bad depending on if you are a buyer or seller). The transferrable warranty on the Elite would be important to a lot of folks. Both great bows! I would probably choose an Elite 35 for hunting and a Halon for 3D!
